I loved this Ava! The ability to be still, do nothing and let our minds wander is so important. I find it's where I get some of my best ideas, and it also helps me reconnect my mind and body. I really enjoyed reading this, and it's beautifully written 🌼
Like many others, I am only truly still in the moments before I sleep. Those moments, however, are always insightful as I might remember something I haven’t thought about in ages.
It’s definitely something I need to get better at. Great piece, Ava!
Hi Ava - I'm getting better at stillness. I think a large component is disconnecting from the noise around us - not having earbuds in when we walk, not being constantly checking our phones etc. We live in a very busy world and it takes conscious effort to be still within it. :)
So true! When I make time to be still I appreciate it, but I find it hard, like you've noted to build on those opportunities we already have to be silent - like walking without music!
Jeanice thank you so much for sharing, I loved reading about how you incorporate silence into your day! I'm really inspired by how you incorporate silence into various parts of your life 💛

Thank you so so much Leah ❤️ so true, in stillness we allow ourselves to be the most creative and free!
Great article! Resonated very much with me. Solitude is a valuable to be still and connect with ourselves.
Thank you!! Appreciate the read and comment so much
It's been far to long since I taken a moment to just be and enjoy the depth of silence. Thank you for this reminder Ava!
Glad you found it useful! Best thing about substack is giving each other little reminders 💛😂
I do love it!

So true! Sometimes those moments are when we free from all distraction and we can unravel the stress and tension of the day!
