Ava.May, I so love that you write a post about autumn at this time! I don't even live in the Southern hemisphere but I love that you are so inclusive. There's not just one experience but many, all going on at teh same time.
Thank you Louise! Exactly, there are so many different experiences and perspectives to be aware of. I'm trying my best to open myself up to this understanding and to be more empathetic to the experiences of others 💛
Ava- Thanks for this reflection. To me, falling leaf is one of those moments that always point me to the fleeting yet undefined nature of speed and time. So much of how humans operate now are not just linear, but very much tick-marked in equal measures. One minute. One hour. One day. And they're all supposed to represent the same amount of time. And they do for the most part, until I observe again the falling leaf: that falls not necessarily once the entire color had turned yellow---but when all the elements: the wind, the weight of the branch, the droop of the leaf itself, all concur ... That it's time. Your writing is a great reminder of this.
Oh I love this! That's beautiful 💛 Reminds me that we can only plan our lives so much, a lot of the time, things are out of our control and operating forces we cannot grasp. We can only hope to accept life as it comes in these instances!
This is so lovely Ava, and so beautifully written! Thank you for your wonderful reflections 🍂
Thank you Leah! Means the world ❤️
When you think about it there’s nothing in our control. As we don’t get what we want when we want them.
Exactly! Thanks for always engaging Dishi ❤️
Beautiful article. Thank you Ava.

“There is beauty and reassurance to be gained in observing and accepting that which is out of our control” is lovely thanks Xo
Thank you Gillian ❤️❤️

I’ll be meditating on this for a bit “… like a river that ends at the sea.”
Acknowledging our mortality isn’t easy but I believe there is something to be gained from sitting with it from time to time.
Agreed! Something beautiful to be found in acceptance, and gratitude to be found in each day 💛
